What are Ownership Alerts?
Ownership Alerts notify you by email when the registered ownership of a saved site changes. When a change is detected, you'll be told who the previous owner was and who the new owner is.
They run automatically in the background across all your saved sites, so you don't need to manually check for ownership changes on each one.

How to activate Ownership Alerts
Go to Home (top left corner of your screen)
Click Alerts
Select Ownership Alerts
Toggle alerts on
Once activated, alerts apply to all sites you have saved. There is no need to configure them individually per site.
How and when you'll be notified
Ownership Alerts are delivered as a monthly email. The email summarises any qualifying ownership changes across your saved sites that were recorded in the most recent Land Registry data release.
If you do not receive an email in a given month, it means no relevant ownership changes were recorded in that release. This is normal and does not indicate a problem with your alert settings.
Ownership data in LandInsight is sourced from HM Land Registry. Updates are published by Land Registry on a rolling basis, so there may be a lag between when a transaction completes and when it appears in your alert.
What counts as an ownership change
An ownership change is recorded when a transfer of registered title is published by HM Land Registry. This covers:
Freehold sales and transfers
Gifts and inheritance transfers
Transfers between related companies or entities
Public to private transfers (and vice versa)
Ownership Alerts do not currently track leasehold changes or unregistered land transactions.
