What do customers get with this new service?
We've released two key features:
A comprehensive Utilities report in PDF format, including a LandTech branded summary and responses from asset owners directly
Utilities lines & data integrated into LandInsight as a map layer, allowing you to overlay Utilities data alongside other valuable datasets
There's now no need to contact each individual asset owner and organise their responses, just order the report and wait 10 days to get a fully comprehensive view of all utilities impacting the site.
In addition, you'll get access to an industry first solution via the utilities lines map data. This will allow you to:
See a single, complete view of all utilities assets that underlie your site
See which asset owners you need to contact across each category (electricity, gas, water, telecoms, sewage and others)
See the total number of utilities lines running through the site
See detailed attributes about the line selections e.g. 'high pressure' gas mains
Added to this, we've bundled the utilities lines data in with other valuable layers, so that you can cross-reference them so assess with even greater due diligence:
See which ownership parcels the utilities run through
See where local substations are located that might connect to site mains and power your development
What data is provided?
Utilities asset status:
Utility line attributes:
Where provided by asset owners, the utility data will contain the following information:
Field | Description | Use |
Title | LandTech generated name of the utility line | Identify the specific line |
UniqueID | LandTech generated unique identifier for the utility line | Identify the specific line |
Provider | Owner of the asset | Identify who to contact for any works required |
Category | Type of asset: | Identify which type of utility asset is running through the site |
SubType | Subcategories of the selected utility e.g. Sewerage, Foul Sewer | Identify the type of utility in more specific detail |
Visibility | Categorising whether the utility line is underground or not | Overhead and underground assets present differing design constraints. |
Status | Whether the line is in operation | Abandoned assets present a reduced risk but, still need to be verified. |
PAS128Type | The regulations that define different report types: | Used to understand report applications based on regulations |
IssueDate |
|
|
ExpiryDate |
|
|
OrderID | Unique identified of the report ordered | Used to reference the specific report if needed |
Voltage | The voltage of the selected electricity line e.g. high / low | Higher ratings indicate higher risk and cost to divert |
Pressure | The pressure of the selected gas main e.g. high / low | Higher ratings indicate higher risk and cost to divert |
Rate | The numeric rate of an electricity asset e.g. 11kV | To identify known capacity running through utilities |
How do I buy the reports?
You can do this using your LandInsight balance, just top up and purchase! Just remember that you'll only see the purchase flow for saved sites, so make sure you save the parcel first! then you'll see the 'view info' report button in the right hand panel.
How long do these reports take to be delivered?
The aim is to provide the reports within a 10 day window (although this is an aim not a hard SLA to be clear), meaning that in just over a week from request you'll have a fully comprehensive view of all utilities lines impacting your site.
Are there any restrictions on purchasing reports?
In very rare instances there are sites that we can't provide reports for, such as those sitting on military sensitive zones, although these are very rare and you'd likely be aware of this pre purchase. You would be refunded if we could not deliver a report.
