Council boundaries were updated within LandInsight on the 5th July 2023

Updated planning authorities are now live within planning alerts.

Have planning alerts setup using councils? Check these immediately to ensure you continue to receive new planning application alerts.

What does this mean for me?

Councils which will no longer exist won't trigger alerts. These councils will be shown in red within the edit screen for each planning alert. You will need to update these where they appear to continue receiving planning alerts.

How do I update the councils for my alerts?

You'll be able to edit each individual alert and update these accordingly.

Step 1 - Go to the planning layer view (on the right)

Step 2 - Access the planning search tab (on the left)

Step 3 - Select the alerts tab (at the top of the panel)

Step 4 - Select the alert you want to check by hitting 'Edit Alert'

Step 5 - Select the alert you want to check by hitting 'Edit Alert'

Step 6 - Inactive councils will show in red, pre-fixed with inactive. You can click the X to remove these, and then add them based upon the new council or national park boundary you wish to track

And, your alert will now be up to date! Great stuff. Any questions, please do reach out to the team.
