We know how important the ability to send letters direct from LandInsight is to our customers and that's why we've introduced Letters.

What is Letters?
It's our brand new letter sending feature that lets you instantly create professional letters and send up to 50 at a time, directly to landowners from LandInsight!
What exactly can I do with Letters?
With letters you can:
Send a physical letter directly to the landowner
Or if you prefer, create and download your letter as a PDF to hand sign
What type of letter can I send?
We currently offer a standard letter, which is:
A4 paper
C5 (standard) envelope
Colour
2 pages, and any additional pages if you'd like to add them
2nd class stamp
You can also:
Insert your company logo
Insert a satellite image of your saved site
Include footers
Add any images, including your signature
Merge fields that automatically pull through key details, like: title number, address, satellite image containing site ownership boundary, name of landowner & date
It's important to note that images will take around 30 seconds to fully load to allow our virus-scanning software to do its job.
How much does it cost?
We've tried to keep the price as low as possible, currently it'll cost £1.20 (including VAT) per letter.
Can I track my sent letters?
Yes! There are 4 tracking statuses to help you manage your letter sending process:
Created
Waiting to be sent
Sent
Cancelled
Does Letters work with all sites?
Initially, no. Right now the feature only works for sites with the following characteristics:
Single parcel
Single title (can have multiple owners within a single title)
Commercial or residential
That means you won't be able to use Letters for the following:
Saved sites with more than a single title associated
Leaseholds
Parcels with complex ownership trees
Land Assemblies
Can I hand sign my letter?
We've provided a couple of options when it comes to signing your letter. You can:
Upload your signature directly to Letters and send your signed letter via LandInsight
Download a PDF version including a signature space for you to hand sign, include any inserts and send manually
Why am I seeing 'unknown' in the address field?
This happens when the Land Registry title hasn't been purchased. To fix this:
Navigate to the saved site on the map or head to the 'ownership' tab in the site card
Purchase the title
Return to Letters and resume editing
Alternatively, if you already know the address and don't need to purchase the title, look for the left hand panel in the preview section and insert the preferred address here.
Can I send letters to more than one recipient at a time?
Yes, we've added a bulk letters feature which now means you can send up to 50 letters at a time to landowners within minutes! See the video demo above for more detail on how.
How do I create and upload a signature?
Easy! We use a simple image uploader within Letters, so all you need to do is create and save an image of your signature then click the 'upload signature' button. Some ways to do this are:
Write your signature out on paper and take a picture with your phone
Use a free website (for example: SignWell)
You only need to upload your signature once. After that, each new letter you create will automatically have your signature in place. The same applies for uploading your logo, you only need to do it once!
How long will it take for my letter to arrive?
All letters will be sent via Royal Mail using 2nd class stamps, so delivery times will be standard. Some important timings for you to know:
Orders are processed from 5am GMT. If needed, you can cancel your letter up until this point.
The cancellations period closes at 5am GMT, and your letter will be sent to print
The current timescale is 5-7 days from order to delivery.
How do I pay for my letters?
The cost of any letters will be deducted from your LandTech Balance. If you need to top-up your account, head to the LandTech Balance as normal.
You'll need to have enough funds in your account to process your letter send.
