In this article we'll be walking you through our Energy Projects data. If you'd like to see it in action, watch our tutorial video below.

To find Energy Projects data, look to the Explore panel on the left and head to the layers drop-down. From here you can:

  • Select 'All layers' and scroll down to find Energy Projects

  • Select the 'Power & Utilities' layer bundle to see Energy Projects

This data is particularly useful for Power Developers, especially those in the Renewable sector, or if you're working on a development or project near renewable energy sources.

You'll see:

  • Solar

  • Wind

  • Battery

  • Other Renewables

To see the data, check the boxes next to the relevant project type and colour-coded dots will appear on the map representing the data.

Click into the dot and you'll find out:

  • Site name

  • Technology type

  • Operator

  • Additional development information

Where does the data come from?

Straight from the source! We pull this data from the Department of Energy, Security and Net Zero.

The data is full coverage and is updated quarterly.
